ABOUT SURABHI : 


"I have done my BA in English Literature, Sanskrit Literature and Classical Vocal Music from Allahabad University and MA in Hindustani Classical Vocal Music from Allahabad University and Sangeet Prabhakar from Prayag Sangeet Samiti. I am an approved artist of All India Radio and TV. I have been performing there for more than 25 years.

As president of IASOWA UP have organized many cultural programs and informative sessions in the ladies club. As President of Akanksha UP I have taken many new initiatives for the safety and empowerment of Women and Girls.

I am an ardent follower of Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda and have been doing Kriya Yoga meditation for 18 years. I also lead the meditation on special occasions.

I have released 2 CDs of Bhajans, in which I have written, composed and sung. They have been sold worldwide by Moser Baer and T-Series. I have also given numerous concerts of Lata mangeshkar Songs, Bhajans and light music. 

Some of the awards and honours given to me are the HT Woman of the year 2014, Sur Kokila Award by the Chief Minister of UP, Shaan-e-Avadh Sammaan by Uttar Pradesh Awards Society, Global Award 2010 by the Global Awards Society, Title of Melody Queen by Lucknow Management Association, Sangeet Shiromani by Sanskar Bharti and Title of Nightingale of Lucknow by Club of Lucknow.

My hobbies are interior decoration, embroidery and textile designing. I have done a diploma in textile designing from Agra University.

My husband is Alok Ranjan , IAS. Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh and I have two very bright and talented sons Shivam and Shikhar and a very sweet daughter in law Prashasti."
